Acne care
Soap-free cleanser
A great first-step in facial acne care. As soaps can cause flares in acne, soap-free cleansers help cleanse the skin and remove makeup. Use twice daily.
Salicylic acid body wash
For facial and/or body acne, it’s the next step up from a soap-free cleanser. While it hasn’t worked as well as benzoyl peroxide in clinical trials, it’s a milder option for those with sensitive skin.
Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel
Benzoyl peroxide is one of the most effective over-the-counter medications for acne. Application of benzoyl peroxide gel on affected areas of the face and body can help improve acne. Use sparingly. Be careful as it can stain clothes and towels, and always wear sunscreen when using benzoyl peroxide products.
Benzoyl peroxide body wash
For facial and/or body acne, benzoyl peroxide body wash can be used alone or in combination with an antibiotic prescription from a doctor. Be careful as it can stain clothes and towels, and always wear sunscreen when using benzoyl peroxide products.

Soothing ointments
When an area of eczema starts to flare or is rough and irritated, try a soothing ointment like Aquaphor.
Topical steroids
When you have a really itchy flare of eczema, putting a steroid ointment or cream on the area will provide relief (both of the itch and the inflammation). Creams are a little more mild and ointments are a little stronger.
