You want me to put WHAT in my WHAT?!
That’s right. I want you to put that nasal spray in your nose.
This seems to be one of the most controversial recommendations from the doctor (in my experience). Think about it: you complain of sneezing, nasal stuffiness and snot running down the back of your throat. Because all of these complaints originate in your nasal mucosa (the skin lining the nostrils) we ideally want to give a medicine that goes directly to the source. Nasal steroid sprays can work wonders, but you have to use once or twice daily (as directed) and it can take a couple of weeks to fully kick in.
More times than not, folks STRONGLY object to putting something in their nose. It’s your call, but applying medicine to the exact cause of your problems will help.
Promise—we aren’t trying to torture you.
