How do I put on a condom if I’m uncircumcised?

I recently posted instructions for putting on a condom. While the process is similar for all penises, there are a few key points to remember when putting a condom on an uncircumcised penis:

  • Always put a condom on the penis when erect. 

  • The foreskin should pull back on its own when erect. If there is excess foreskin, gently pull foreskin to the base of the penis. 

  • Before putting on the condom, place a drop of water-based lube in the tip. 

  • Roll the condom over the erect penis. 

  • If desired, hold the condom at the base of the penis and move a little of the foreskin back up into the condom (allows the foreskin to move easily and gently).
