How do I do a testicular self-exam?

The testicular self-exam is important in identifying testicular cancer. It’s important to check for any lumps or bumps on your own because that’s often the first sign of testicular cancer (meaning that there are no other symptoms to tell of something is wrong). So once a month, feel your testicles (the balls inside of the scrotum). It’s normal to feel some blood vessels on the back of the testicle but the rest of the surface should be smooth. Another thing that is normal is that one hangs a little bit lower than the other. If you notice anything funny, talk to a doctor.
